January 20, 2020 first COVID-19 positive case detected in USA, Seattle, WA.

March 11, 2020 the World health Organization declares COVID-19 a pandemic and the Provost announces that NC State University Spring Break is extended and when classes resume it will be by on-line instruction only.

August 20, 2020 Provost announces that all NC State University Undergraduate Coursework will remain in on-line instruction only for Fall 2020.

Fall 2020 First doses of COVID-19 vaccinations become available.

May 1, 2021 Face coverings no longer required on campus in outdoor areas, but still required when in groups inside, regardless of vaccination status.
